The Race to Save Lives has been going on for fifteen years. The SCS-organized RAC 2023 intends to generate money for projects supporting cancer support groups, cancer screenings, cancer rehabilitation, hospice care, and cancer treatment subsidies.
As the Race Against Cancer’s title sponsor for the past ten years, they have backed the effort to help cancer patients and their families by bringing attention to the disease and raising money.
Their goal of helping children and young people whose lives have been touched by cancer is still very much relevant today. The Help the Children and Youth Program of the Singapore Cancer Society receives a yearly contribution of S$250,000 from the Singtel Group.
Singtel has given S$2.75 million to the race since it began. The fund has assisted SCS in launching a number of programs that address the educational, economic, and social needs of young people whose families have experienced cancer. It is utilized for family involvement programs, youth camps, yearly book awards, and home tuition services.
