Cuuuuuute! I stopped by for an early dinner. It seems like you do need reservations, I came early enough before the crowd so I was able to get a table. The staff was so friendly and attentive. As a solo traveler, it is great to talk to the locals! I got a drink, an appetizer, and a salad and it was too much food for me. But, it was all tasty. Their menu has quite innovative and unique vegan/vegetarian food. I loved the atmosphere and decor. Would love to visit again sometime! – Sydney Ott

Located in Bukit Jalil on the second floor of a shophouse, CC by Mel is a recently established pleasant casual eating café. The café, which Melanie, a home-based florist, created, offers delicious Japanese fusion cuisine with floral themes that are artistically served and attractively decorated with edible flowers. It’s the ideal place for a catch-up with your girlfriends or a special date because they serve nori tacos, matcha sandos, creative pastas, and adorable desserts.
The menu was more towards Japanese fusion that’s currently in trend. Importantly the food we ordered was good. The plating was good & food prices are reasonable, except the drinks are pricey. Very decent portion. Will surely return to try other menu items. Best to make reservations even on weekdays. I was lucky. – Jason

After One takes pride in being a semi-vegetarian restaurant that offers healthy, vegan-friendly food without pork. They have a rather diverse menu that includes dishes like tofu scramble, cajun shrimp, breakfast quesadillas, Moroccan chicken, and quinoa bowls. They also provide a variety of energizing beverages including coffee, effervescent drinks, cold-pressed juices, and kombucha. Apart from the food, we think the cafe’s cozy, light, and airy atmosphere deserves special credit.
Ordered their signature Egg Benny and it was so damn good! Love the kombucha as well! Despite having such a massive crowd, the waiting time was short and services were good too! Quite a photogenic place too! – CC

Burrow, a bakery in Bangsar Shopping Centre, offers freshly baked delicacies such as mouthwatering cakes, cookies, and their famous maple pecan canelés, which are flavored with organic maple syrup, Madagascar vanilla bean, and cream before being topped with butter-toasted pecans! Burrow is passionate about their coffee in addition to sweets. As things get better, we can’t wait to check out the cafe’s refreshing environment and have some coffee at one of their window seats, even if it is only presently available for takeout.
This is our first time here & we arrive there around 5.30 pm which means, their signature dish is already sold out. They started bake from 5? am to 2pm if my memories correct! So, what left at the time is coffee cake & banana butter cake (can’t remember the exact name) but still it taste so good. – Nur Baitul

Keopi & Sul. is a cozy new café bistro with Korean influences that first opened its doors in Mont Kiara earlier this year. If you’re craving some substantial Korean bowls, coffee, or soju, stop over. They also have some adorably adorable cocktails that come topped with rose petals, ice cream, and even puppy-shaped espresso ice cubes! The curry tempura prawn don, beef bulgogi, butter scones, and huge breakfast are a few of the place’s recommended dishes.
Love the ambiance and their interior design so much. You can view the outside of the cafe if you sit near to their indoor glamping area. Chill songs, delicious food, and refreshing beverage. Very crispy tempura shrimp best match with Japanese curry rice. A big breakfast no doubt is so delicious. Surprisingly the beef Bolognese sauce taste so good. Highly recommended. – Apree Liau

Ruma Puteh ticks all the minimalist, fashionable, and attractive criteria! Ruma Puteh, which is housed in a former home that has been transformed into a cafe, has an air of a contemporary art gallery thanks to its attractive pathways, curving arches, and outstanding architecture. Customers have a choice of dining indoors in the air-conditioned dining area with eccentric, bright design or outside in the outdoor garden with chairs amid trees. The café offers pasta meals, laksa, nasi kerabu, bread, and other Western and Malaysian comfort foods.
Tried it after reading rave reviews from picky foodie customer and decided to check it out myself and it didn’t disappoint. Arrived at 2pm yet the restaurant was full. The local food are so delicious and the pastries also great! The price is reasonable. I would love to give them 7 starts if I can. – Mohd Abduh

One of Bangsar’s newest hidden secrets, Hani Eatery is located in a charming, bright area with plenty of windows, brutalist walls, and adorable furniture (we really adore how some of their seats are actually adorable camping chairs!). For those who want breakfast or lunch, the café offers a variety of rice and noodle meals with Japanese influences in addition to beverages and sweets. Come over and spend a leisurely day catching up with your loved ones.
An enjoyable first stop for our KL trip! Hani staff were very welcoming and we enjoyed the cozy space. We were impressed by their drink selection especially, and I really liked the balance of flavors in my dirty matcha. Out of the savory dishes we tried, I was most impressed by the thai beef (I love spicy!) and also enjoyed the dashi for the salmon bowl. Ny friends also enjoyed the yuzu sesame knife-cut noodles and the thick prawn bisque for the udon – to each his/her own. Thanks, Hani! – Jodie L

Although though it is located right in the middle of KL, Mori Kohi radiates tranquility since it is surrounded by beautiful trees and connected to an indoor urban farm that is part of the same building (this is where they receive their supply of freshly grown greens from!). Come in for some freshly made coffee, iced matcha lattes, pastries, or hearty Japanese food with a touch of Western flavor. The menu’s famous tendon bowl, chicken karaage curry rice, and wagyu hamburg are all popular choices. The large home also has a casual cocktail bar, a gallery of plants for sale, and an event area in addition to the restaurant and farm.
Went at 10 am, left after 11 am, and almost packed. Great food and pastries. 20 mins wait for the tendon is required. Will need prompting to get refills but still acceptable for a 5-star rating. Good place for chilling so expect people to sit longer than an hour there. – Chee Kiong

SWÔL is one of the newest additions to Jalan Telawi in Bangsar. It is chic, sleek, modern, and a little eccentric. Enjoy some imported macarons that have been flown all the way from France, or one of their other freshly baked items like croissants, pain au chocolat, pizza twists, tarts, or specialty coffee. We’re not sure if the cafe’s all-white decor was designed to seem amazing for Instagram or more like a shooting location.
Best coffees in KL & yummy pastries are too good! Look up to find SWOL, it is a level 2 shophouse! Love that they open super early than others! – Lou Ann Seet
