Fatboy’s at Upper Thomson holds a special place in our hearts as the original location for this burger chain. Here, you can even create your own burger. Classic options include cheeseburgers and Swiss shroom burgers, but we recommend skipping those in favor of the specials. The Elvis is a bacon-stuffed pig patty with grilled bananas and peanut butter, while The Yolo combines a burger, fried egg, fried spam, fried onion strings, and mozzarella. Complete the meal with milkshakes and floats… because why not?
Juicy and delicious burgers! Our to-go burger place at Thomson, friendly and efficient service always. Their burgers are big with a big portion of fries, the beef patty is thick and well-cooked. Best enjoyed eating with your hands! – Charlyn

Visit this small, off-the-beaten-path cafe for your caffeine fix. However, the coffee will be worth your time because the beans are freshly roasted in-house. Step away from the crowded Upper Thomson Corridor and visit this tranquil eatery for delectable meals and a relaxing ambiance.
A cozy place to hang around. Food and beverages are smooth and tasty, not too strong but adequate for the taste bud. Perfect crisp for the bread. Free bottled plain water with a small glass. Need to order at the counter. Menu items are in words only, would be good if there was a photo to understand the variety better. – KKT

Caffeine craving? Visit this industrial-chic cafe for delicious cold brews, lattes, and cappuccinos. (Alternatively, if tea blends and matcha lattes are more your things, order up a storm with scrambled eggs on croissant, grilled ham and cheese, tom yum prawn spaghetti, and the all-in brekkie.) The gashouse eggs, though, are one of our favorites. You’ll be eating runny eggs and melted cheese on toast with homemade bacon jam.
The coffee is great!! Love the coffee beans and choice of oat milk, blends so well together. Love the smooth pour and latte art as well. There are limited seats available, and seats are placed really close to one another, which is honestly not the most comfortable. other than that, all is good! – Chinee Loh

Hello Arigato is a restaurant with a Japanese and Kinfolk design aesthetic. There are hefty sandals and donburi bowls on the menu. Choose the katsu sando (pork katsu, grilled pineapple, and tonkatsu sauce) or gyu sando (pork katsu, grilled pineapple, and tonkatsu sauce) (Angus beef striploin and caramelized sweet onion jam). If you’re hungry, the miso buta don with Hokkaido pork belly and Japanese rice on top will fill you up.
Excellent sandos and pastas. My kids love the tater tots too and I’m intrigued by their more fried chicken. Would be perfect if they had enough staff to take your orders and top the water up but the current situation means you’d have to go up to the counter to put in your orders instead. On the bright side, they have a wide range of sake to take the edge off, not to mention decent desserts. – Dr Jade Kua

Do you want some Italian? PocoLoco is noted for serving fresh, authentic food at reasonable prices. Pastas like mentaiko tagliolini and fettuccine are popular, as are squid ink and seafood risottos. Desserts include traditional Italian favorites such as panna cotta and tiramisu. Lovely!
This is my 5th visit to Poco Loco. Each visit I am always bowled over by the great food. This is a hidden gem at Upper Thomson. I have eaten at many Italian restaurants, I have to say the pasta here are extremely good, full of flavor and really satisfying. Not sure where the chef previously came from but I dare say it is even as good as some of higher class restaurants like Etna. Highly recommend. – Carine Lim

During the day, it serves as a cafe. By night, the room transforms into a trendy bistro bar. This inviting spot, cooperation between Les Patisseries and PizzaFace, delivers a wide range of pizzas, pastries, coffees, and alcoholic beverages. Don’t forget to save room for the crisp, fluffy waffles that come with rich scoops of ice cream.

The same individuals that run Atlas Coffeehouse and Lunar Coffee Brewers are behind this one. It’s difficult not to fall in love with the well-lit area, as the design and wooden furniture create an appealing atmosphere. Expect foods like pancakes, burgers, pasta, and truffle fries. We can picture leisurely afternoons with the fambam right here!
Came for Saturday brunch and got a table within 20 minutes. The service staff were pleasant and quick to attend to our requests. Read quite a bit of bad reviews but tbh the dishes we ordered were amazing! We got the Chicken French Toast which was so well made, and the hot maple & compound butter really made the dish come to life. Wasn’t expecting too much of the Halibut & Scallop Pao Fan, but it exceeded our expectations! A perfect blend of textures from the crispy and soft halibut and soft rice mixed with their tomato broth. Will come again but would recommend that you to make a reservation via Chope, if not be ready to wait up til 30min for a table, especially if you’re in a big group. – Megan Khaw

So you enjoy unusual ice cream flavors? Visit Udders for delicious frozen delights and waffles for dessert (or an afternoon delight). Some of their delectable flavors include Horlicks, peanut butter crunch, salted speculoos, chendol, Baileys and bourbon, mango sorbet, and orange choc bitters. Did we forget to add the mao shan wang ice cream? It’s magnificent.
Udders offers one of the best waffles u can ask for in terms of consistency. Fresh made when ordered, they are served hot and crispy. I like to eat it on it’s own without anything when it is so fresh and crispy. They offer a wide variety of ice cream flavors. I tried the hazelnut, pistachio, and chocolate. Very balanced texture, taste, and sweetness. I was tempted to try their mao shan wang king but was way too full. Oh well…. there’s always a nice time. Prices are pretty much the same anywhere else serving freshly made waffles and ice cream. Will definitely come back again from time to time to satisfy my cravings for crispy waffles. – Matthew Phang

Yahava, which serves a variety of hot and cold drinks, is a great place to get your coffee fixed for the day. Specialty coffee beans, chai and matcha lattes, ice-blended beverages, cold brews, and creamy milkshakes are all part of the menu. Hidden within an industrial estate. When inside, the place feels like home, spacious yet cozy. People were reading, working on their laptops, watching videos on their ipads… there were groups of friends as well as families on a Sunday late afternoon. – Nicole T
