What does a restaurant becoming halal mean?

The Arabic word halal, which means “permissible,” refers to food that is acceptable in accordance with Islamic law. For meat to be deemed “halal,” it must be a prohibited cut (such as meat from an animal’s hindquarters) or animal product (such as pork).

How can you tell whether a restaurant serves halal food?

There are some things to think about. You can believe a restaurant’s claims that its cuisine is Halal if the owner is Muslim or if there are a significant number of Muslim employees there. If not, you might ask for a paper from the supplier attesting to the legality of the meats they offer.

First time coming to this place and already blown away. All of the staff were attentive and friendly. The dishes were very unique and delicious too. We ordered all of the recommended dishes and even drinks. The risotto with mushrooms and truffle must be the star of the show. With the exception of eating in Australia, never have we eaten actually sliced truffles with the dish. The dish is cooked in the cheese wheel definitely made it so much better. The pizza with crab meat definitely tastes great, not your usual pizza. Also, the desserts were to die for. Definitely coming back here again for their beef Wellington! – Adrian Goh

At this point, All Things Delicious can help! All Things Delicious was founded by Mel, who had long dreamed of owning her own bakery and café. She modestly started operations at the bakery’s original site close to Crawford Lane.

All Things Delicious immediately became well-known, and now a second location has been established next to Arab Street. Moreover, the All Things Delicious menu as a whole offers a variety of culinary options, including cakes, scones, sticky rice bowls, sandwiches, pancakes, and much more!

In 2013, Tash Tish Tosh started as a halal eatery that infused American cuisine with a distinctive Malay flavor. Tash Tish Tosh uses its menu idea to divide numerous categories, such as Appetizers, Burgers, Steaks, homemade Pasta, and more, just like other American restaurant chains like Shake Shack. The Toolang Burger, Signature Garlic Cream Mussels, Huge Beef Bacon Boat Pizza, and Beef Mee Goreng are just a few of the mouthwatering major dishes on their menu. Following that, you have the option of finishing your dinner in a typically American fashion by selecting a dessert. We advise trying their Chendol Manis-Manis Melayu; it’s deliciously reviving!

This is a hidden gem spot within Kampong Glam area. Not to mention, one of the few affordable meals you can get too!

The pandemic hit us hard as our regular tourist customers disappeared, but we persevered and made a HUGE move to downscale. But that didn’t deter us from serving our sought-after Halal Rosti’s and Pulled beef cheese sandwich. We even added local cuisines like Kacang Phool (made from Fava Beans) and Shaksouka, beautifully paired with baguette.

Now a HOT favourite with our regular customers, they always start with our Banana Fritters and end with our freshly baked Salted Caramel Brownies. Everything is baked and whipped up in-house.
