Under The Linden, a restaurant named after the famous Walther von der Vogelweide poem, is infused with love, romanticism, and an avant-garde approach to contemporary French cuisine. The poem describes the meeting of two young lovers “neath the lime trees” on the heath amid gorgeous flowers and crumpled grass. The aim of the Under Der Linden is for the guest to experience joyful moments of love in the midst of nature.
- Linden’s Might Breakfast ($24)
- 45-day Dry-aged Beef ($78)
- Squid ink pasta ($23)
Instagrammable and pet-friendly cafe with pretty decent food and not too overpriced. Pesto pasta and salmon were excellent. The steak, however, was too fatty on one side and leaned on the other; we had to cut the sides off as it was pure beef fat (not marbling). I would not recommend ordering this. The cakes are good too, not too sweet and friendly. The bonus is that pets are allowed indoors, which is nice as most cafes are outdoors only for pets.

Renny Heng, a creative restaurateur, and wine enthusiast put his culinary vision into action in 2014 by founding Corner House. He began assembling a group of individuals who shared his enthusiasm for creating a unique dining place.
The two-story home in the woods appears to have been specifically designed for comfort and leisure. With bright natural light during the day and the soft glow of lamps at night, its spacious welcome verandas and vestibules have transformed into luring corners, whether for work hosting or private get-togethers.
This garden restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars and is listed in Asia’s 50 best restaurants.
- Omakase-style dining experience from S$128 for a four-course lunch
- Distinctive wine collection with over 600 label
Fantastic experience. Dishes follow a perfectly mastered progression/storyline; everything is delicate, precise, and detailed. A mix of tastes develops in your mouth and gives this acceptable dining satisfaction level! Service was excellent, and the chef came to have a quick chat—a brilliant chef.
The place is excellent, too though the carpentry would require a bit more care.
Overall a fantastic time, and we’ll be sure to come back!

Slow Bakes is tucked away within Yishun Pond Park and perfectly merges into the lush green surrounds. It is actually a bakery that provides an escape from the bustle of city life, a secret haven for working, studying, or simply taking in the scenery.
Although Slow Bakes may be new to Yishun, their flagship location is at the Novena Oasia Hotel. Their breads undergo a sourdough fermentation procedure that gives them a chewier texture, and this process is where they get their name. The store’s philosophy also emphasizes the value of a slower pace of life and good meals prepared with vegan and organic ingredients.
- Matcha Adzuki Buns ($3),
- Mushroom Cheese buns ($3)
- Traditional Kaya
Beautiful and zen-looking place, perfect for morning meetings. The cafe is only open from 7 am – 2 pm. Open air and facing the lush greenery.
There were so many beautiful bakes available. I had the breakfast set, which cost $4.50 and came with a slice of bread (few choices) with a choice of spread, two eggs, and a drink. They only serve local kopi here, which is reasonably good.

Very nice setup. We sat outdoors with cloudy weather and two huge blow fan; it was lovely. Ann was accommodating and provided excellent recommendations. Ann also helped us decide on the menu where we go with blind taste but had the main change from fish to lamb. The cocktails are all very nice too
