For the uninitiated, Mookata is a Thai Barbeque Steamboat (the perfect marriage between these two) that has been firing up in Singapore in recent years.

Siam Square Mookata (SSM) is one of Singapore’s few pioneer Mookata restaurants. Our main outlet at Havelock Road opened its door on June 21, 2013. It has since expanded to other outlets within a few months, such as Woodlands, Jurong Gateway, and Eunos Crescent.

Another big selling point at SSM is the special secret recipe for Chilli Sauce. They have 3 levels of spiciness for our Chilli Sauce to cater to different spice tolerances. The prices are also very reasonable and affordable, between S$1.80 to S$2.80, and Buffet at S$29.90 per person.

Tom Yum Kungfu

Tom Yum Kungfu’s restaurant on Circular Road offers an eclectic, retro-pop vibe. Bright, warm colors and neon accents are employed throughout the interior to create a unique, endearing atmosphere (the owner used to be an interior designer).

They simmer vegetables, pork bones, and crabs to make a clear soup that is relatively light in color but satisfyingly umami- and seafood-sweet. As a fuel, they also use charcoal.
