GEEKCON, formerly known as GeekPwn since 2014, is organized by the independent and innovative security research institute DARKNAVY. As the premier security geek contest and conference centered around smart living and AI, GEEKCON is committed to leading-edge research in cyber adversarial events. Its mission is to enhance the visibility and measurable impact of the cybersecurity industry, foster talent development, facilitate global growth in the security community, and quantify security measures to create a safer digital environment.

As of 2023, GEEKCON has hosted 15 sessions across Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Macao, Las Vegas, and Silicon Valley. The event has attracted thousands of participants and speakers from around the world, including renowned white-hat hackers and security researchers such as George Hotz and Tielei Wang, known as the “iOS jail-breaker”; Chris Evans, the founder of Google Project Zero; Ian Goodfellow, the inventor of Generative Adversarial Network (GAN); Liang Chen and Flanker, distinguished Pwn2Own Winners; and Slipper, a well-known Web 3 hacker.
In addition to our contestants and speakers, we have identified thousands of critical vulnerabilities, assisting numerous high-tech companies including Google, Apple, Tesla, Samsung, Huawei, DJI, Xiaomi, and Amazon in addressing security weaknesses. Our efforts have garnered coverage from over 100 global media outlets and sparked more than 400 million discussions on social media platforms.
