Everyone is aware of how well waffles and ice cream go together. By serving Tokyo mochi waffles cooked from scratch using Nippon wheat and mochi, this gelato shop raises the bar. The outcome? With the softest, chewiest filling and a crispy outside. We think these treats go wonderfully with mildly flavored gelato.
Came across this lovely cafe in the middle of Everton Park and was greeted by the aroma of sweet Lychee Raspberry and Rose! We had to opt in for the waffle and to our delight, it was embellished with fluffy powdered sugar and a supple flow of syrup! The dessert was amazing but what topped the whole experience was the service provided by the staff that attended to us, Brandon! He was so friendly, accommodated to all of our needs, and made us feel at home in the cafe! – Jacob Honrado

If you’re not a fan of mochi cupcakes or muffins, don’t be discouraged. We might be able to persuade you to try Butter Bread’s mochi scones. It can seem strange to pair a crumbly British-baked product with a soft, oozy Japanese mochi. After a few bites, though, you’ll undoubtedly come to like it. If you decide to stop by here for your mochi fix, you’ll always be in for a surprise because the menu is always changing.
Visited this newly opened pastry shop in City Gate. You can smell the freshly baked pastry when you are at the basement. The pastries are really decent and tasty, in fact, they are better than those I have tried in Nice, France. No joke. Give it a try when you are around that area. The opening time can be a-bit early to cater for the breakfast crowd. – Raymond Lee

Another local company that sells mochi muffins is listed here. Its variety is freshly made every day and includes flavors including kaya and coconut, banana walnut, and double chocolate. These may be had at any time, including for breakfast, afternoon tea, or even when you are pressed for time and need to eat quickly. Purchase the package of six muffins in an assortment of up to two flavors.
Amazing baked goods from this humble local bakery! Especially love the unique mochi cakes that have a nice crunch on the outside but soft and fluffy inside. The sweetness is just right and it’s really hard to stop at one. You have to try the kaya coconut flavor if you are a big fan of kaya. The owner is very friendly and prompt in her response. It’s a good place to buy nice treats for yourself and your loved ones! – Debi Seah

If you’ve been hunting for decadent bakes that are less sugary, save this website. Its rich, toothsome mochi brownies are crammed full of fillings like Red Bean, Biscoff, Thai Milk Tea, and more. There are nine of these tasty delights in each box, so you can either share them or enjoy them all by yourself. If you ask us, it was definitely worth the calories.
Would highly recommend it for corporate orders and custom orders. Both the sweet and savory bakes were also delicious and the desserts were not too sweet. Each box was presented beautifully with a customized note and everything was so yummy! – Allyson Tan

The delicate and fluffy baked goods sold at reasonable rates by this little Thai-style bakery are well regarded. If you’re able to go to the store, head straight for the mochi bread, which is really soft and pillowy. They have copious amounts of filling, including yam floss, peanut butter, red beans, and black sesame. Have your phone ready because you’ll want to photograph how nicely the buns separate on Instagram.
Hands down one of the best bakeries in town. The breads are freshly made and have soft texture. The toppings/fillings are just right not to underwhelming or overwhelming. Worth visiting if you are around the Lavender area! – Reginald Evan

Do you enjoy pairing matcha with mochi? Get your sweet fix right now by heading over to this dessert store. Its best-selling warabi mochi is freshly baked every day; we advise you to consume them right away to appreciate the chewy, soft texture. They are available in matcha powder, soybean powder, or a combination of the two flavors. The 24-piece variant is packaged nicely in a box and is a thoughtful present for your loved ones.
Matcha paradise for matcha lovers. Matcha parfait was so good. Hot matcha was also so good. You can really taste the premiumness of the tea. The price is a little high for its serving but the taste compensates it well. Located at the basement of suntec. Not so difficult to locate just go down from the escalator and go to the food rep. No dine-in in but there’s a little spot where you can stand while enjoying your soft cream. Fast service! – Ef Si

It would be impossible to discuss mochi sweets in Singapore without mentioning this Japanese titan. Its recognizable pon de ring epitomizes the ideal mochi doughnut: soft, chewy, and oozing with flavor. Take note of the chocolate and strawberry flavors, which are only offered here.
Very nice donuts, Pon De Ring is my family’s favorite. Bought twice from Mr Donut – 1st time queued for 50mins and 2nd time queued for 1hr. Both times I happened to be the last one in the queue on 2nd level. The queue is a bit slow but orderly, and with aircon (if you queue inside Junction 8). Bring along your headphones to watch Netflix/YouTube/etc while queueing. – Jesslyn

Ah Chew Desserts offers a unique take on mochi to chew on in addition to traditional treats like mango sago. Without the sweet soup, the Rice Ball Mochi ($2.40) is similar to Tang Yuan. These mochi balls, which are covered in peanut powder, are filled with rich and creamy black sesame and peanut filling.
Look at that shiny black sesame filling, please! On a more serious note, though, you might want to examine your teeth before grinning broadly.
A touristy dessert place so there is always a long line waiting. However the queue moves fast, and you can choose dishes while waiting. After being seated you have to go order at the counter. Mango sago is very satisfying, rich fresh mango flavor and not to sweet. Grass jelly drink is very refreshing for a hot day in Singapore. Banana split is nothing special, not recommended. – Tue Linh Nguyen Le
