Enjoy delicious food and beverages from surrounding restaurants as you ring in the new year while taking in the spectacular view of the fireworks along Marina Bay. After a break caused by the Covid-19 outbreak, fireworks will now be launched throughout the bay region for the first time in two years. As you count down to 2023, we’ve put together a list of five eateries that provide you with a great view of the fireworks. You may choose from a wide variety of cuisines, including Mexican, Italian, and even Australian farm-to-table, so you’re in for a gastronomic (and visual) treat!

OverEasy

The quintessential all-American restaurant, OverEasy is renowned for its gourmet burgers. Its trademark dish, the “To Die For” Burger, is made out of a wagyu chuck mix patty, a potato bun, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. It is also served with fries and the restaurant’s proprietary burger sauce.

As they count down to 2023 on New Year’s Eve, visitors may bop their heads or dance to a live performance by DJ Kidd Royale. The Marina Bay skyline will be clearly visible when the night sky is illuminated with pyrotechnics. Overeasy will serve a unique celebratory menu for New Year’s Eve that includes its renowned beer-can chicken, which is a roasted chicken with a beer can inside.

Super Loco

With its large menu of tacos, tostadas, and a carefully chosen selection of fine tequila, Super Loco is all about offering a really genuine Mexican dining experience. Additionally, the restaurant is well-known for its Taco Tuesdays, when customers may assemble their own platter of six flavorful tacos. Super Loco at Customs House, which is positioned by the water and across from Marina Bay Sands, offers guests an amazing view of the New Year’s countdown pyrotechnics. You can choose its outside seats for a great view of the fireworks. Tickets start at S$476++ for a two-person indoor table and go up to S$1,390++ for a five-person outdoor bayfront table with a premium view of the bay.

Every package includes a four-course meal and unlimited beverages. Seafood appetizers like langosta de tostada, which combines grilled lobster, agave, mashed avocado, corn salsa, crunchy quinoa, and red sorrel, are served as the first dish. Tacos and a modern Mexican main dish, such the Angus ribeye steak, come next. For dessert, there are super churros, which are crispy churros served with dips of coconut dulce de leche and Mexican chocolate sauce. From 8 p.m. to 12 a.m., the New Year’s Eve meal set and unlimited beverages will be offered.

Kaarla Restaurant & Bar

Kaarla is the newest restaurant on this list, having only opened in April. On the 51st story of the skyscraper CapitaSpring is an Australian seaside restaurant and bar serving farm-to-table fare. The Food Forest, a stunning mega garden near to the restaurant, provides some of its ingredients. There, spices, herbs, and flowers are utilized to prepare foods that are uniquely Kaarla, including the Kaarla closed loop salad.

While you enjoy your dinner, Kaarla allows you to see the magnificent fireworks display within. On New Year’s Eve, visitors will also have free access to the rooftop. A three-course meal costs S$158 per person at Kaarla, while a five-course menu costs S$228 per person. Crab custard, a dish prepared with crabmeat, black barley, and desert lime, is on the five-course menu, as is the delicate Australian stone axe wagyu striploin, which is served with pickles and preserves from the Food Forest.

Supply & Demand

Supply & Demand is a two-story restaurant with a focus on traditional Italian fare that is situated in the Esplanade Mall. Highlights include the beef pepperoni pizza, truffle mushroom tagliatelle, and squid ink with seafood risotto. Reserve a spot on the bar’s top terrace for the ideal vantage point of the New Year’s countdown fireworks. A five-course set meal, a complimentary welcome drink, and live DJ music are all included in the $250 per person admission fee to the roof deck.

Consider the less expensive package, which costs S$125 per person and includes indoor seats, a five-course set meal, and a complimentary welcome drink. The restaurant was still ironing out the specifics of the five-course meal at the time of publishing. For updates, visit the restaurant’s Instagram page. Caffe Fernet

The chicken Milanese, an Italian classic made with chicken, marinated beets, wild arugula herbs, and porcini aioli, is one of the menu’s standout dishes. Another standout is the eggnog budino, an egg-based dessert with poached pear, Amaretti crumble, and salted butterscotch. The al fresco eating area of Caffe Fernet, which overlooks Marina Bay Sands, provides an amazing view of the fireworks display during the New Year’s countdown.

The cost of admission to Caffe Fernet’s countdown celebration ranges from S$150 for a standalone option that includes carnival-style appetizers and four hours of alcohol to S$400 for high-table seats outside. Those who are seated will enjoy a multi-course, communal supper with foods like truffle risotto, parma ham, and rosemary focaccia. In addition, there will be free alcohol and a live DJ performance while you ring in the new year. On New Year’s Eve, doors to the countdown celebration at Caffe Fernet open at 7 p.m.
