MOH releases salary guidelines for community care sector

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has issued salary guidelines for the community care sector in Singapore. The guidelines outline the recommended salary ranges for various roles, considering factors such as experience, qualifications, and job responsibilities.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has introduced salary guidelines for the community care sector in Singapore, outlining recommended salary ranges for various roles based on factors such as experience and qualifications.

This initiative aims to enhance job attractiveness and ensure fair compensation. For instance, a starting monthly base salary for a full-time enrolled nurse is set at S$2,050, increasing to S$3,120 at the mid-point of their job band with more experience. The guidelines serve as a framework for organizations in the sector to align their compensation structures and attract diverse talent to the community care workforce.

With the sector’s workforce expanding from 16,500 in 2020 to over 18,000 in 2021, the guidelines aim to ensure salary competitiveness within the market. MOH expresses its commitment to ongoing monitoring and will review the guidelines as needed to align with industry standards and attract and retain skilled professionals in the community care sector.
