FairPrice Finest at Clarke Quay

FairPrice Finest Clarke Quay is located at 3 River Valley Road, Block B #01-04/05, Singapore 179019.

Exploring a supermarket without a shopping list has become an unexpectedly therapeutic experience. Supermarkets have transformed into more than just places to buy necessities; they now function as hubs where people delight in aimless strolls, envisioning cooking with a plethora of products and savoring the simple act of spending time.

FairPrice Finest’s latest outlet takes this experience to the next level. It offers the opportunity to meander through aisles enhanced with in-store entertainment and interactive elements, elevating the shopping experience.

Occupying a spacious 14,000 sq ft warehouse-inspired area at CQ @ Clarke Quay, this establishment marks the 40th addition to the company’s Finest outlets throughout Singapore. Going beyond the traditional grocery offerings, FairPrice Finest Clarke Quay extends its appeal to tourists by showcasing distinctive merchandise crafted by local artists. Additionally, it features eateries and bars serving up local delights, adding an extra dimension to the overall experience.

What to expect at the store:

THE GROCER FOOD HALL

Situated at the heart of the establishment, the Grocer Food Hall at FairPrice Finest Clarke Quay provides customers with the option to explore six distinct food kiosks. The space also offers various seating areas where patrons can savor their meals.

The diverse culinary offerings include local, Lebanese, Italian, and Japanese cuisines, providing a range of options for visitors. Each vendor presents value meal choices, competitively priced in comparison to nearby food and beverage establishments. Examples include Straits Flavour’s curry chicken at S$8.80 and Mezzi’s chicken and Lebanese rice at S$5.90.

Just like their other branches, this store features a “You Pick, We Cook” service, enabling customers to choose fresh produce from the shelves for immediate preparation at designated kiosks, with an extra fee. Catering to cheese enthusiasts, the supermarket has collaborated with the local artisan cheese shop LPB, presenting a variety of items including smoked burrata, croque monsieur, and cheese platters, with the most budget-friendly option starting at S$15.

THE GROCER BAR

Continuing their commitment to local partnerships, this outlet has collaborated with the nearby Brass Lion Distillery and Red Dot Brewery for its in-store bar offerings. The cocktail menu showcases a heritage selection that creatively blends local flavors, featuring standouts like the Kueh Salat Cocktail and Ondeh Ondeh Cocktail, each priced at S$15 per glass.

For those who prefer to handpick their wine or other spirits from the store, the option to purchase and savor them at the bar is available, subject to an additional corkage fee. To enhance the customer experience, an interactive board is on hand to assist in finding the ideal drink pairing for their chosen food items.

LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS

Demonstrating the company’s steadfast commitment to supporting local suppliers, this outlet engages in extensive collaborations with Singapore-based partners. The diverse offerings encompass a specialized section dedicated to fresh produce sourced from local farmers, and a “kacang puteh” station proudly featuring products from the local nuts brand Tong Garden.

As you step into the grocery store, a dedicated merchandise section awaits, showcasing Singapore-themed souvenirs and gifts. Exclusive to the Clarke Quay store, an intricately designed collection by Kelly Ser Atelier features items like SG River tote bags and tumblers. The array of heritage-themed souvenirs extends to an old-school “kopi” pot, Singapore-inspired card games, and the iconic Tiger Balm, among other nostalgic treasures.

AN HOMAGE TO THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

The store pays homage to Clarke Quay’s rich riverine heritage through its interior design, seamlessly integrating nautical-themed elements that showcase the company’s milestones within the backdrop of this historic area. The warehouse-inspired design serves as a tribute to the locality’s deep-rooted history, featuring a mural that vividly depicts the Singapore River’s pivotal role as a trading port for essential goods entering Singapore.
