You weren’t the only one who noticed anything strange about this chendol. A pile of shaved ice at Chowzan Dessert is topped with white coconut strips and a milder red bean mixture. This dessert is best appreciated with an extra ball of durian paste on top. The dessert shop takes pleasure in producing the first white cendol in Singapore, which tastes as delicious as it looks.

At the end of 2019, Yatkayan Dessert, which in Cantonese means “the whole family,” opened as a method to bring the elder members of the Tang family closer together. The modest setting evokes memories of bygone eras, complete with menu items like Walnut Paste, Black Sesame Paste, and, of course, Chendol. The chilly bowl’s components are all freshly cooked, and you may choose an upscale version with handmade Orh Nee or durian paste on top.
I got the fresh mango sago with ice cream $6.50. Unlike many other dessert places, the chef here didn’t skim on ingredients. Mangoes were indeed fresh and not from a can. Grass jelly droplets had a bit of a lovely bouncy bite to them, and ice cream and shaved ice all added to making this a lovely dessert. Yeah. Good stuff. A simple dessert well executed. Ye Tang Chendol offers high-quality chendol bowls without any frills in a little nook on the fourth level of Beauty World Centre. We believe that it doesn’t get much better than this combination of flavorful pandan jelly, fresh coconut milk, fluffy ice, and very thick Gula Melaka. Unless, of course, you’re a durian devotee, in which case the durian version includes a big portion of pungent meat that is guaranteed to please.
The gula melaka syrup is very fragrant but not coying or too sweet. The jelly is homemade and has a nice bouncy texture. They also add attap seed to the chendol which was a nice addition. Well-balanced and refreshing chendol, the lady boss is also really sweet and nice. – Irws

After a filling dinner of nasi lemak, there are few things more delightful than a large bowl of chendol. Its outrageous price tag of S$5.30 with red bean may make you laugh, but we assure you that it is really worth it.
