Tuk Tuk Cha

Established in 2015, Tuk Tuk Cha is a fuss-free, informal Thai café with a focus on traditional Halal Thai cuisine, drinks, and chic sweets. Tuk Tuk Cha began as a modest dessert kiosk but has since grown to include 14 locations throughout Singapore.

In Bedok Point, Singapore, Tuk Tuk Cha introduced a brand-new bistro-dining concept in 2018 that offers a wider selection of Halal Thai food options. This expansive dining establishment in Bedok offers a wide selection of dishes on its menu, including Thai specialties like Thai Boat Noodles, Thai Beef Noodles, and Thai Tom Yum Noodles. There are also more delicacies offered for group dining, including Claypot Tom Yum Mama, Tang Hoon Prawn, and Thai Stir-fry.

Great consistent Thai milk tea. Always get 25% sweetness as it is already sweet. Mains are also good. So far tried pad thai, beef noodles, seafood tom yum. Would totally come back. – Aliah Bagarib

Ya Kun Kaya Toast

The name Ya Kun has been synonymous with unmatched kaya toast and seductively aromatic coffee and tea, enjoyed in a comfortable setting since its modest origins as a coffee kiosk in the 1940s. Ya Kun is still popular today and draws new followers.

T2 has limited restaurant choices but Ya Kun Kaya Toast’s Braised Pork with Rice is a worthy dish for breakfast. – Forever Hyung

Southern Californian by birth, international upbringing. Since 1963, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has been brewing up good times as a top-tier international roaster and retailer of specialty coffees and teas.

My favorite noncaffeine drink from CBTL is Malibu Dream. This outlet also has a few charging points. Good for work and studying. – Isaac Lim

Toast Box, a contemporary coffee chain with roots in the iconic Nanyang coffee and toast culture of the 1960s and 1970s, was founded in Singapore in October 2005. Once inside, the aroma of freshly ground caramelized coffee beans will welcome you, along with a variety of tried-and-true household favorites. Every establishment is alive with the alluring aroma of freshly brewed coffee and flavorful local treats, which draws customers in to enjoy the nostalgic flavor of a bygone era.

I had the Cheesy Egg & Ham Toast for breakfast a few days back. It’s so yummy. And the coffee as usual is superb. It’s rather crowded though as the place is quite small. Hope they can expand the dining area for more comfort. – Bright Eyes

Denzy Gelato

Damien, a fellow Bishan resident, and I co-founded this website with the intention of adding some fun and excitement to the daily bustle of this area and beyond. Our unfussy yet inviting café is a perfect place to catch up with friends, spend quality time with family, or just be by yourself.

Awesome gelato and waffle cafe. Lots of flavors to choose from and some of them really unique like Piedmont Hazelnut. Takeaway packs are available too. Waffles are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Friendly service and reasonable prices. – Kevin Ang

The meal was decent and reasonable. I like it that the aircon is on full blast and cut out all the afternoon heat from the outside. Good reading materials. Comfortable and quiet joint. Will certainly visit again soon. – Mandy Chee

Toast Junction

Toast Junction brings back the custom of having a delicious breakfast. Its specially brewed coffee and enduringly popular foods like Kaya Toast and Chee Cheong Fun are sure to transport Singaporeans back in time. Our toast areas provide customers the chance to relax and savor some regional comfort cuisine.

The menu structure is the same as other major kaya restaurants, but the price is cheaper, so it’s good! – Jay Kim

Starbucks

A consumer receives a drink from a Starbucks barista millions of times each week, but every contact is different. It just lasts for a split second as one hand extends over the counter to offer a cup to an outstretched hand. We take care to honor that link in all we do, from providing the best coffee in the world to the ways in which we interact with our clients and the communities in which we operate.

The manager was exceptional. Fantastic leadership and customer service. I got the wrong order but accepted it anyway. When the manager came to know about it, he was polite and fully apologetic and offered me to change despite the fact that I have consumed the coffee, and also a return voucher. It is his initiative and actions that really make any customer’s day. He is a rare breed and deserves a great compliment. – Daniel Lee

Jai Thai

In the 1960s, Mr. Swang opened a small restaurant in the bustling city of Bangkok. His love of cooking inspired him to create his own cooking style and excel at it, as evidenced by the long line that would form outside his restaurant on Soi Kingphet in the Rathewi District well in advance of opening hours. Many celebrities would also frequent his restaurant for his signature abalone rak naam (hor fun). Every item that was made and cooked was praised for its distinct flavor. Over time, his restaurant in Bangkok received a lot of media attention. In 1997, Mr. Swang retired, and the restaurant followed suit.

Very authentic Thai food. The food is great and very affordable. Clean and great service. Highly recommended place for lunch and dinner with family and friends. – Rannie Hoo
