Founded in 2001, Stag Match® Education and Training Group (smet.edu.sg) a registered education and training business has become a leading educational business in the education industry. Currently Stag Match are operating in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and the Philippines. In Singapore, Stag Match has opened more than 19 centres and is also registered and approved by Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) Tuition centre, Singapore Ministry of Social and Family, After School Care Centre, People Associations and SkillFuture Singapore.
Stag Match conducted and offered over hundreds of runs of enrichment courses like robotics – Drone, Edison, Lego, Micro:Bit Coding, and Multimedia designs etc in MOE Schools, Community Centres as well as in our own centres. Stag Match also provides robots like Parrot Drone and microcontrollers Arduino etc. We, Stag Match, also specialize in creating and producing in house curriculum materials.
Stag Match is also one of the selected vendors by IMDA to conduct ICM Roadmap for MOE Schools since 2015.
To further support these students and transform into a smart nation pillar, Stag Match collaborates with Schools/Centres to introduce these courses to better benefit the students.
Stag Match’s enrichment courses are designed to prepare Singapore children’s digital literacy skills as well as to educate them to utilize the right skills for the benefits of the community with content and innovation.

Today, Stag Match – World Robotics Standards (WRS) has been adopted by Robotics Clusters in 7 Countries: Singapore, Korea, Malaysia, Australia, Philippines, Indonesia and China. WRS is developed by Stag Match in collaboration with Korea Youth Robotics Association.

OUR FOUNDER
Mr Alex Wong at the age of 21, founded Stag Match as a sole-proprietor tuition agency/centre with a registered Hougang premise. He had started with minimum capital without any financial aid, funding and parents’ comparison to other well-known tuition centres post a constant challenge for the newly embarked Stag Match. In the beginning stage, inexperienced Mr Alex had to manage the entire centre set-up and other duties like brochures layout designing, tuition centre marketing and tutors recruitment.
Since Stag Match inaugurated in 2001, Mr Alex believes that every child is a winner; failure this word does not exist in his dictionary. Stag Match endeavours their best to cultivate the right learning attitude and to bring out the hidden talents inside children, by finding out the motivation behind them. In every semester, Mr Alex will organize an excursion as incentive for students who have made the greatest improvement in grade to be selected for the field trip. Stag Match also strives to bring the best tutors and materials to them, strongly believing that if the child does not succeed, Stag Match does not succeed either.
Mr Alex tells himself that every child entrusted to his centres is a show of faith from the parents for his capabilities; he gave his all to every given opportunity, winning the hearts and trust. It was this trust that motivated Mr Alex, and built the foundation to success.
