About Us
Company Background
Upon discovering his passion for designing, Etheng Fong decided to go all in and pursue his dream of setting up a T-Shirt Printing company in Singapore. The year was 2009 and with an initial startup capital of just SGD 5000, Fong single handedly established Lovelypears Pte Ltd.
Fast forward 11 years later, Lovelypears Pte Ltd is one of the most trusted and recognized service providers for T-Shirt printing and design with an annual turnover of SGD 800,000! The company’s new office is located at AZ@Paya Lebar with a build up of 1200 sqft. Through the Singapore government’s Productivity and Innovation Credit, Fong managed to purchase 4 highly sophisticated t-shirt printing machines that improve the company’s overall efficiency and productivity. In addition to that, Fong also has another factory in Muar, Malaysia to cater for much larger orders.
The success and achievements of what Lovelypears Pte Ltd has accomplished till this day, didn’t come as easy as one would think. In the early years, Fong was struggling to keep the business alive as he had no fixed customer base. Desperate to prove his naysayers wrong, Fong brought some of his best t-shirt designs to colleges and organizations to showcase his work. That moved paid off handsomely and his customer base started to grow from there.
Being an ambitious entrepreneur, Fong has plans to put Lovelypears Pte Ltd on the global stage. He envisions in the next 3 years, the company would be able to provide T-shirt customization solutions to international customers through the e-commerce platform.
The Founder
Fong was born in Johor, Malaysia but pursued his primary and secondary education here in Singapore. He then continued to further his studies in Interior Design at the Singapore Polytechnic and successfully completed his Diploma. Subsequently, he obtained his part time Degree in Finance and Marketing from Murdoch University, Australia.
He then got a job in the finance industry but never really liked it. It was one day when a good friend of his asked a favor whether Fong could help him print a picture on a T-shirt. Fong agreed to it and learned how to print words and patterns on T-shirts from the Internet while applying some design knowledge he acquired before. His interests grew from there and at the ripe age of 25, he decided to quit his full time job to solely focus on his T-shirt printing business. He continues to work tirelessly everyday and has not looked back since then.

Services Offered
Direct to Garment Printing
DTG Printing is also known as Direct To Garment printing. It is a process of using Inkjet Printing on textiles, apparels and garments. By using specialized pre-treatment on the fabric and modified inkjet technology, the inks are applied to the textile directly and absorbed by the fibers. The key requirements of a successful DTG printing are a 100% Cotton garment and specialized pre treatment solution.
Dye Sublimation Printing
Dye sublimation printing with full colour artwork works great with polyester and polymer-coated substrates. During the sublimation process, heat and pressure are applied to a solid, turning it into a gas through an endothermic reaction that bypasses the liquid phase. The end result of dye sublimation is a near permanent, high resolution, full color print. Because the dyes are infused into the substrate at the molecular level, rather than applied at a topical level such as with screen printing or DTG printing, the prints will not crack, fade or peel from the substrate under normal conditions. The only limitation is that it has to be applied on a Dri-Fit Polyester material for a full colour effect.
Digital White Toner Printing
Similar to Digital Printable Vinyl, White Toner printing helps in achieving vibrant full colour printing with the inclusion of white ink. With this method we are able to reproduce images to their full potential. It allows for the ability to print solid white onto a wide variety of media and also be able to transfer Gold Foil Print over on dark backgrounds to create high contrast designs. The desired design is mirrored and printed out onto a specialized transfer paper. Heat is then applied onto the transfer paper and the desired designs will be printed out onto the T-Shirts.
Vinyl & Printable Vinyl
Vinyl printing is commonly used when printing jersey numbers with personalized names. The designs are crafted directly onto the decals and do not require any printing. These decals usually come in one solid color or in a special effect film. When using these solid colored decals, the bright colors won’t fade and are highly durable.
Digital Printable Vinyl transfers your design by using a high quality ink jet printer on a special heat-resistant paper that releases the ink properties onto the substrates by heat. Once the images are printed, a precision cutter is used to cut out the shape before platen type transfer presses apply heat onto the carrier paper to transfer the image onto the shirts. This is suitable for logos or images that involve many colours, designs with gradients, toning, or jobs that require precise Pantone control.
Silkscreen Printing
Screen printing provides a clear, long-lasting image that doesn’t fade after many washes. Images are superimposed on a screen of silk or mesh fiber using a stencil along with UV curing substrate that blocks out unwanted areas. The durable and highly pigmented ink is then forced through the screen to create prints on the surface of the shirt. This method has unlimited colour options, but the cost increases as more colours and thus more screens are added. This works best for fine, detailed designs that need a consistent vibrancy, have clear solid colours or sharp images.
Embroidery
Embroidery uses colourful threads stitched together onto a fabric to craft an extremely durable print. Careful calculation of the surface area and the number of stitches required helps give the final design a refined and exclusive look that is great for Company logos. This method is great for printing on smaller surface areas and has no limitations on the number of colours.
