We’re off on an undercover expedition, perhaps in Singapore. Following a ten-year break, the popular French animated series Totally Spies! aired in France on Sunday, May 12, for its seventh season. The three teenage girls at the center of the show are Sam, Clover, and Alex; they are covert spies with missions spread around the globe.
The English trailer for the program was released online on the same day as the French debut of the current season.
In the trailer, the words “Totally new location” appear onscreen along with a quick shot of Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer. Shortly after, the protagonists are told by a woman, who is referred to in the movie as their “completely new boss,” that weird and terrifying animals “are everywhere in Singapore.” This has led to rumors about the upcoming season of Totally Spies! takes place in Singapore.
We can officially confirm that, yep, Totally Spies is back for a seventh season after seeing the first French episode of the new season! will occur entirely in Singapore.

Even in the episode synopsis and opening sequence, where Sam, Clover, and Alex tour several Singaporean landmarks, the new setting of the show is hinted at.
We won’t give away any plot points, but suffice to say that by the time the episode is through, the girls had moved to Singapore and enrolled at an AIYA university.
They also indulge in one of Singapore’s favorite pastimes at the end of the show: sipping bubble tea.
Totally Spies!’s producer, in a previous interview with the crew from the French licensing fair Cobrandz! Benoit Di Sabatino commented on the shift: “[The main characters] will experience, just like our audience, a new culture that is unfamiliar to them. To do this, we worked with Singaporean screenwriter, voice artist and cultural consultant Elaine Chiew to ensure the precision and authenticity of our approach.”
The date of the English version of Totally Spies’s release!The new season of has not yet been revealed.
Singapore has already been highlighted in a popular cartoon show revival. A Singapore-set Tom and Jerry show from Warner Bros. last year included an episode just about durian.
