After 5 years, we dined Sunday evening with business associates and had a great time. The food was delicious as we remembered. Easy parking and not too crowded as we did not book beforehand. The waiter patiently explained the menu and the dishes were served in good time. The only complaint is the spotlight at each table which is too strong. Makes the food light up and colorful but the glare is overwhelming. Suggest toning it down slightly to give a better ambiance. – Shahir Shamsir

Amazingly delicious food with a great variety of both non-veg and veg dishes….brings one back to feelings of home-cooked food. The only awkward thing is the way they calculate the price. When you bring the food back to the table, the cashier will come to the table and look at your food and record down the items right beside you and sometimes will ask what’s the item. if they can find a better way (calculate while you are ordering), I will give 5 stars for service! Other than that, it was great and we will come back again! – Mohana S

Before the pandemic, I had heard about this remarkable South Indian food joint from a friend but never found the time to visit. Little did I know, this place caters to those with an adventurous palate, as they skillfully utilize every part of a goat to whip up a stunning array of dishes. When my wife proposed Spice Grill as the location for our dinner on Valentine’s Day, I was skeptical and doubtful. All this while, I thought Spice Grill was an Indian restaurant. To clarify further, not that I hate Indian foods (in fact I like it), but I myself could not handle very spicy foods which is my main concern since we are celebrating and enjoying Valentine’s Day and I do not want to ruin such an occasion. – Lennon Seow

The Spice Kitchen is a Hakka meal that has been coupled with Indian spices. The industrial-style decor, with its colorful furnishings and brick-shaped walls, is perfect for both dating evenings and dinner parties—especially with the current hipster craze. In a similar vein, the meals have superb flavors and presentations. Several biryani and flatbreads, as well as Chicken Lollypop and Chicken Tikka, were among the dishes that our tongues found particularly interesting. This meal is a must-try because of the finely cooked meats and spices. You can calm it with a selection of milkshakes and lassies.

I am very confused on the low rating that this place has been receiving. For me it is a beautiful and cozy place to enjoy some authentic Indian food over here at Mount Austin. The staff is really friendly and they even check out on me whether I am fine with the food (as i am Chinese). Tried their masala chicken with nasi briyani, garlic naan and the legendary Nescafe panas kurang manis! So envy of those guy staying nearby definitely will return again when i am in town. – Daineal G
