The public is strongly advised to stay vigilant and avoid falling victim to these scams. Please note that tickets for the papal mass will be free-of-charge when available. Additionally, refrain from sharing personal information with any unauthorized websites or individuals claiming to provide tickets or details regarding the papal visit.

The church added that the only legitimate sources for information related to Pope Francis’ visit to Singapore are its official websites:

Pope Francis, at 87 years old, is scheduled to visit Singapore from September 11 to September 13 as part of his Asia tour, marking the final leg of his journey. His trip will also include stops in Indonesia from September 3 to 6, Papua New Guinea from September 6 to 9, and Timor-Leste from September 9 to 11. Notably, the last papal visit to Singapore occurred in 1986 during John Paul II’s Asia-Pacific tour, which drew thousands to a papal mass at the National Stadium.

During his visit, Pope Francis is expected to participate in an Eucharistic celebration, tentatively set for September 12, as announced by the archdiocese. More details about his itinerary and engagements will be revealed gradually leading up to the event. This upcoming visit is significant as it will be Pope Francis’ lengthiest trip since assuming his role in 2013, involving over 30 hours of flight time along with various meetings and religious services.

Originally planned for September 2020 but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this visit underscores the importance of this occasion for both the Catholic community in Singapore and the broader region.
