Amidst the travel restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, celebrity photographer Ade Lau and three friends embarked on a culinary venture, starting a food delivery business featuring popular Thai dishes. Now, they’ve upgraded to a dine-in Thai cafe named Fourgather at Amoy Hotel in Telok Ayer. At Fourgather, the cafe is divided into a main dining hall and lounge adorned with authentic Thai decor. Overseen by a team of Thai chefs, the kitchen offers a range of delectable dishes. Additionally, a bar within the space serves Thai street food bar snacks, and a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, and beer.

Managed by Mediacorp’s The Celebrity Agency, Ade Lau, 37, balances her time between running the restaurant and her career as a celebrity photographer, capturing moments for stars like Fann Wong, Christopher Lee, Richie Koh, and Cynthia Koh. Ade envisions Fourgather as a vibrant and casual space where friends can gather to enjoy authentic street food and music.

They offer lunch sets starting from S$9.90

The budget-friendly lunch sets at Fourgather sound delightful, ranging from khao khai jiao (Thai-style omelet with rice) for S$9.90 to stir-fried basil pork/chicken and scrambled egg with rice for S$12.90.

The addition of a free drink during the official opening promotion at Fourgather from Feb 19 to 20, offering choices like Thai chrysanthemum, Thai milk tea, or lemongrass, sounds like a refreshing treat for diners.

Foods to Share

The variety of dishes at Fourgather, from fried fish miang to roast pork rice and flower crab salad, offers a delightful mix of Thai flavors, making it a tempting spot for groups looking to share a hearty meal.
